As I walked around the house trying to get house work done, I kept tripping, slipping and sliding! I had on my old worn out ragedy comfy house slippers. The ones that you have to slide your feet in order to keep them on lol . After the ump teen time of having the slipper fly off I finally got frustrated.I kept getting tripped up and my house work was taking much longer than it should have. I switched in to a pair of New Balance sneakers tied them up and went to work. Didn't have another problem tripping there was no more delay. I was now full speed a head and making up for lost time. I finished a little late but not as late as I could have if I continued on with the incorrect shoes. Your probably wondering why is she talking about shoes in the title and all I'm hearing about is house work? You know I'm going to tell you 😊. As I finished up my work I realized the significance in the types of shoes we wear and what they represent. In a metaphorical way, the shoes you wear determine how ready you are for the battle ? Are you in the battle at all? Are you procrastinating knowing you have a destination to reach but because your comfortable, ( that word comfortable can be a dream killer) you feel that it can wait? I realized as I slid around in those slippers I had no motivation to get the job done adequately or in a timely manner. Isn't that how things can be when it comes to situations in life. You know that it needs to be dealt with, you even know how and why it needs too be dealt with but.......it counties to get swept under the rug to later rear its head. We know our "it" needs to be dealt with but we are comfortable so we drag our feet . When you drag your feet you end up tripping over things that you could other wise avoided. Having the proper gear not only helps with efficiency but also with staying protected. If a hard object would have fallen on my foot in those raggedy slippers my toes would have been done! As soon as I put those sneakers on laced them up my whole attitude changed. I was pumped up about the task at hands easy to conquer. I was ready for battle I was geared up fired up to complete the task . Even if an obstacle had gotten in my way in these shoes I could step over or around it. I was now alert and focused and was able to complete the assignment unharmed. So what kind of shoes are you wearing today? Are they slowing you down? Are they just cute all for looks and none for comfort? Are these shoes equipped to walk you through the paths of destiny? Are they weather proof? Are they laced up right and ready for anything? Do you want destiny ? How bad do you want it ? If you want your promise you have to have the right gear. The preparation begins in the mind then action follows ... Lace up lets go! I'm ready ? Are you ready?
The word Empty is a small word but it holds much power. Too be empty is too not be full ... Empty also can mean to be filled with. Opening my eyes doesn't seem to feel the same anymore, the dread of the unknown almost makes me want to stay asleep. I never thought that I could ever be this low. I never thought the the insecurity and the feeling of never fitting in would creep up on me in my adult life. You see things in life that are meant to bring you down will tap on you discreetly almost subliminally. They continue to hit you in the same spot over and over again, just like a construction worker who needs to break down a wall. The construction worker will target the weakest point to gain access, and begin there demolition focused on that point. So here I am empty, like a car that has run out of gas (which ironically enough recently happened too me lol ugh ). Thanks! Its funny how the natural always can combine into the spiritual. You can't wear every shoe with every outfit. So in the spiritual we can keep on a shoe that don't fit the occasion.
